It sits in a ‘horseshoe’  created by the curve of the island  and the coral reef that helps to  create the most pristine turquoise  water anyone could dream of.  While Daydreaming as you stare  at the majestic waters and listen  to the song of the crashing waves  you will enjoy the light breeze that ensures you remain cool for your quiet time. After your quiet time, take advantage of the fun activities that the poolside staff provides-trivia, balloon toss, golf fames, etc. – and win a bottle of Appleton Rum. If you don’t want to play the game but care to enjoy watching, take a seat under a cabana and listen to the music. The cabanas are equipped with the most wonderful, comfortable, lounge chairs that there is to offer. The cushions are plush and the staff will provide you with towels that fit perfectly to the cushion so no tugging and fixing is necessary (is there anything they didn’t think of?). Okay, so you sat a watched, now it is time to join in. Would you like your drink brought to you or would you like to get it yourself from the swim up bar? Both are fabulous options that Sandals has to offer. Feel free to drink in the water on the stools or on the couches that sit in the water! Let me mention that the staff will become your friends while you are there. You will learn their names and they will learn yours.

We had a great time at Sandals La Toc. It was relaxing and just what the doctor ordered. The butler service was good (recommended) and having our travel agent, Peter, coordinate everything for us ahead of time made the entire experience smooth. Make sure you book a room that has concierge as that provides for a full bar in the room. Don’t listen to the detractors that say that it rains too much in St. Lucia–it does rain, but it’s passing and doesn’t really interfere with having a great time. St. Lucia La Toc has a beach, but if you’re looking to be a beach bum, go to Jamaica or Bahamas. St. Lucia’s beaches aren’t spectacular, but the island makes up for it in the fun stuff to go and do. The tour from Island roots helped us so make sure to go zip lining, diving/snorkeling, do a tour and see the Pitons and make sure to take in a local festival. We went to the “Jump” on Friday night. We took the Sandals Bus to the Sandals Grand St Lucia and then took a cab over to the “Jump” which was only a few blocks away. There was great street side dining, locals and live music. We made some great new friends. We booked a bluff room with a butler and it was worth every dime to be up there. For those debating between Halcyon, Grand and LaToc, here’s our view: Sandals Halcyon is quiet, Sandals Grand St Lucian is constant party and Sandals LaToc has both. The bluffs at Sandals La Toc are quiet and relaxing. When we wanted the party atmosphere, we went to the main pool. Sandals LaToc really was the best of both worlds.

 Sandals Foundation, Panasonic Golf Tournament.  Sandals Grand Riviera golf and villa golf resort  launched the annual Sandals Foundation  Panasonic Golf Tournament at the Sandals Golf & Country Club. Sandals CEO, Adam  Stewart, explained that the golf tournament raised  $76,000 for the Sandals Foundation in 2011 and  the dreams are to double that in 2011. The Golf  Tournament will offer Golf pros the opportunity to  compete for the $36,000 first prize. Guests at  Sandals Royal Plantation, Beaches Boscobel and  Sandals Grand Riviera will host the tournament  with a 10 to 20 minute drive to the golf course.  Some clients from Sandals Montego Bay and  Sandals Royal Caribbean can also attend the  tournament.
