Sandals Emerald Bay

We just returned from From Sandals Emerald Bay for our honeymoon.  A true definition of R&R- rest and relaxation. The beauty of  Sandals Emerald Bay is that this Sandals resort radiates. It sits in a ‘horseshoe’ created by the curve of the island and the coral reef that helps to create the most pristine turquoise water anyone could dream of. While Daydreaming as you stare at the majestic waters and listen to the song of the crashing waves you will enjoy the light breeze that ensures you remain cool for your quiet time. After your quiet time, take advantage of the fun activities that the poolside staff provides-trivia, balloon toss, golf fames, etc. – and win a bottle of Appleton Rum. If you don’t want to play the game but care to enjoy watching, take a seat under a cabana and listen to the music. The cabanas are equipped with the most wonderful, comfortable, lounge chairs that there is to offer. The cushions are plush and the staff will provide you with towels that fit perfectly to the cushion so no tugging and fixing is necessary (is there anything they didn’t think of?). Okay, so you sat a watched, now it is time to join in. Would you like your drink brought to you or would you like to get it yourself from the swim up bar? Both are fabulous options that Sandals has to offer. Feel free to drink in the water on the stools or on the couches that sit in the water! Let me mention that the staff will become your friends while you are there. You will learn their names and they will learn yours.

So, are you hungry yet? Get dressed and dine at one of the four restaurants that this resort has to tempt you with. Choose whatever you desire, it is going to be delicious and divine. You will crave everything again so eat as much as possible while you can! It is included- order a second plate, ask for something special, enjoy what is being offered for you. I am telling you every piece of food will melt in your mouth. The soups, the salads, the appetizers, the entrée, the desserts! You will not be disappointed- until you go home and your taste buds betray you. They will begin to reject the food that was once delicious and crave Sandals resort food! After you are full take part in the entertainment in the bar. Enjoy the show and then dance the night away. Need a little liquid courage to dance? Who do you turn to- Jack Daniels, Johnny Walker, Bailey, A Grey Goose, Crown Royal? Take your pick from a wide variety of liquors, beer, and wines. Now you feet are finished dancing, go prepare for the next day. GET SOME REST! Sleep in the bed that is going to love you. I swear the beds are trying to be your friend. It’s hard to get out of them; but you will to start a new, blessed day.

I know all of this sounds perfect, but let me add to it- The Butler. The Butler puts the cherry on this vacation. They will bring your cappuccino in the morning; save your spot on the beach or under the cabana, bring you snacks throughout the day. Whatever you want-use your butler phone and ask. Your wish is their command. They will book your dinner reservations or create a romantic beach dinner for you. They will even top the night off by drawing candlelight, aromatherapy, bubble bath for you to soak in with strawberries and champagne if you desire. Literally whatever you want!

One more thing-Red Lane Jasper Spa! Wowza! They offer complimentary sessions every day. These sessions include back and neck massage teasers, foot teasers, and couples massage lessons. After the temptation from the mini sessions book a full session for a day with a magical pair of hands that will work wonders on your spine.

Okay, one MORE thing (they really have everything)! The Golf Course. My husband said it was one of the most beautiful courses he has seen (I am not a golfer so this is only my second course to see-it is amazing). The course offers a variety of complimentary sessions as well- golf swing lessons with a golf pro, course tours using golf carts, and more. Even if you are not a golfer please go on the golf tour. The view is enchanting! It is truly a sublime experience. Take pictures!
